Though there haven’t been too many egregious examples in this particular thread, I’m always amused when someone shows up specifically to say “Never heard of her, who cares?” or “Did she ever even write a song? Who cares?” Y’all just keep on truckin’ folks, I’m sure your philosophy of “If I don’t know it it’s not worth knowing” will get you far in life. ---

I had no idea that sympathy and sadness about dead people was rationed so strictly. I have sadness about some deaths. Yours won’t be one of them. However, I will go and soak my pillow with tears about someone who died I may have missed.
