I must’ve used up about half my boss’s kleenex last week when I had a cold. I feel sorry for my coworker who had to put up with the sound of me blowing my nose all afternoon. I seem to be getting better though. ---

JDD and Partner have made the executive decision to spend the night, which is good cause I was not about to let either one of ‘em get behind the wheel of a movin’ vehicle tonight. We be slightly tipsy here at da cave. ---

swampbear, you are living the life! 🙂 I’m a wee bit jealous. Sister and I got my first load of things moved into storage. Probably about 4 or 5 more boxes to pack up and move, plus my electronics. _sigh_ I can’t say it’s fun but at least it’s getting done. ---

Home from my birthday dinner. I had shrimp bisque, shrimp satortini and broccoli, Sah-son had a cheese burger and french fries and my mother had talapia, sicilian style. They also had warm from the oven home made bread. After the shrimp bisque and half a slice of bread I was so stuffed I could barely eat my dinner. I also had a pina coloda, only one which totally flipped out the Sah-son because I was driving. He wouldn’t take a taste and I got a lecture on drinking and driving. I got baklava for dessert and he got chocolate cheesecake, which we both brought home because we were stuffed. I also have a doggie bag because the Double T diner has huge servings. Shrimp santorini is jumbo butterflied shrimp in a tomato sauce with garlic and olive oil, with chucks of tomatoes and onions with feta cheese over linguini. The poor Sah-son, for good or for bad I never drank around him. I grew up with an alcoholic father and I never wanted him to go through the things children with alcoholic parents go through. Not that is was so horrible, my father had a good job and never missed work. In 30+ years on the job he was out maybe 7 times for illness and 6 of those times he was in the hospital. His last year or so he finally took off for the flu because he figured he had paid his dues and it was okay to take some sick days I didn’t want my son to have to deal with the unpredictability of a drunk parent. He’s never been around people who drink and so he thinks if you have one drink it’s a problem, and for sure having one drink in two hours is still enough for me to get pulled over and hauled off to jail. Sometimes I think maybe I sheltered him a little too much and he should have been exposed to a little bit of a wild side of life. ---

There’s one in Annapolis now? Wow, they are getting around. This one is in Pasadena, right at the intersection of Mountain Rd and Ritchie Hwy. My mother and her bf are on a first name basis with most of the staff. I can never finish the entrees there. I wish I had looked over the desserts before I ordered baklava, the boston cream donuts looked really good, and one of those would be good for 2 desserts. ---
