Heck, I know where you can get an entire apartment building for $14,000. (It may need some work. And it’s not in the best part of town…) Also, 2 story 3 bdrm houses for $4,000-$10,000. You will have to want to move to the midwest USA, tho. ---

I see houses around here in the 30k-50k range. I wouldn’t want to live in 'em but they are there. I paid 45k for my first house over thirty years ago and sold it for 60k. I felt like a mogul! 😃 Dindin is et and the kitchen is all cleanded up. I done good. Now it’s chill time. I’s tahrd! ---

Bah, the divorce keeps getting worse. Well, at least my dad and his lawyer think they have a way to not have to pay my mother so much money. Or something. I don’t really understand it. Still have this cold. As far as colds go, it’s a moderate one. I should be practicing my bass clarinet. I have the best bass clarinet in Montreal, so I should be practicing it. Kinda hard to blow into a wind instrument with a stuffy nose though. ---

In the category of bizarre car stuff, one good item, one disturbing: First, the disturbing: can anyone explain why someone would be driving while his right hand is holding the grab handle above the occupied passenger seat? Especially in heavy traffic? Next, the (tentatively) good: for a few weeks now, the car’s been giving us grief about starting. It does start, but takes some cranking and sometimes more than one try. Today, it’s been starting right up as it did before this oddity developed. ---

Another freekin’ day in paradise… 😛 And productive so far. I emptied and reloaded the dishwasher, (couldn’t be bothered last night) cleaned the cat box, and breakfasted. It’s going to be very warm today, so I need to get out early and plant the iris I dug up yesterday. And I should probably start some deep cleaning. The inlaws will be here the end of next week, and I’ve been neglecting the house. I should take the push of panic and channel it. I need to inventory the freezer, too, and figure out what I’m going to feed them. They’ll be here 4 nights, and we’re definitely going out once. I’d like to cook out at least once - I’ve got 4 nice little steaks. And I’ve got a really good poke recipe I want to try, so that leaves one more night - maybe I’ll rotiss a chickie? Anyway, I need to get all of that food in one place so I don’t have to rummage too much when they’re here. Plus I need to consider sides. And desserts - FIL has a serious sweet tooth. Morning all, Tis Weeeeeeeeee-dnsday. I has, or rather my boss has a big VTC presentation today (that I put together for her so I gots to be there) so I gots all dressed up, but now I is scared to eat anything as I have a white jacket and shirt on and pink skirt. Looks good (if I do say so myself) but, I am not the most careful eater so am slightly terrified of even drinking coffee. Oh well, I can survive on a granola bar and lots of water until after 1400.
