# An alien named Paul?

In the movie Paul (2011), there’s a scene where he’s talking to Scotty from the JJ Abrams Star Trek where Paul does an impression of the Predator using his fingers as fangs and saying “Anytime.”

He follow that impression with another one but I don’t know what movie the second impression is from. Can anyone help me out?

I think he’s still imitating Predator and the shoulder mounted gun thing.

First off, he’s talking to “Shawn”, not Scotty. And yes, he’s still doing the Predator with the shoulder cannon.

Folly: see the movie. It is worth it just for all the references to all the other sci-fi movies. (Blythe Danner’s line to Sigourney Weaver at the end is priceless !)

Oh! OK. Now that you point it out, I do see the shoulder cannon thing.

You guys are good!

But that sound he’s making … worp,worp,worp. Is that supposed to be the vroom noise that the predator’s targeting system makes when it creates the red triangle on whatever he’s aiming at?
