I occasionally go for a true-crimes/serial-killer fix. I’d see any movie about Ed Gein, maybe even one about Albert Fish, but THIS is beyond me. I can’t even fully watch SYBIL.

Shit is a perfectly good English word. It’s used here in its literal sense, not as slang. As editor, I would have left it alone. Would expressing the same word in Latin sound better to you?
Oh, wait, I see there’s an extraneous period. Is that what you meant? Yeah, I’d delete that, but that’s basic proofing, not really editing.
ETA: Just got back from seeing Juno, in which Ellen Page is great and seems very natural. Don’t really want to see her as a helpless girl whose life ends in weeks of nightmarish brutality.
