But **yoj** , how would **DR** have known that, given that it was deleted? I think his point is well made - if **Opal** didn’t fly off the handle at the smallest tiniest provocation, there wouldn’t be the need for any of this. People only got riled when she decided to lay into **Darwin’s Finch** for no reason whatsoever, including making what I thought was explicitly and absolutely a bannable offence - that of announcing her ignore list. Saying all that, I don’t want to be the big grumpy-boots in someone’s apology thread, so I hold my hands up and say quits. But let’s avoid repitions in the future, hein? Put this thread out of its misery? I was asked to apologize, I felt it was the right thing to do, and now when I do I get called on it? Will you only be happy when I do get banned? For the record, that rule about the ignore list is a very recent one and wasn’t there the last time I read the rules, else I would not have done that. Admins: If you need to ban me, I will understand ☹ ---

Hell **Opal** , I’m not saying that you should be banned. I _hate_ it when non-trollish people are banned. I’m just saying that your reactions are freqently waaaaay out of proportion to the initial comment. Which then provokes reaction in kind and _boom_ instant trainwreck. pan ---

Frequent = pretty much every thread in which someone seriously disagrees with you. Disagreement doesn’t mean that they personally don’t like you or find **you** disagreeable. It just means that they don’t agree with what you’re saying. It helps to assume that an enquiry made of you is in good faith and that misunderstandings are just that. Reading again what **Darwin’s Finch** said, can you honestly say that it was appropriate to react in the way you did?
