Apology gracefully accepted? IMHO…I think not. If I accept someones apology I say I accept it and I drop it. I don’t snipe a few lines down that if she wants "to be known as a bubbleheaded bigotted bimbo that’s okay too… That is not by my definition gracefully accepting one’s sincere apology. For example, if BBJ had said, “Hey…I apologize for what I said” then later in the same post said, “But I still think those people were acting white trashy” would that have been considered a sincere apology? Nope. Of course I am out of the “time limit” on posting so I guess you can just ignore my opinion. I’m still waiting on the chart… 😉 ---

Well, maybe so … but some of the people involved unequivocally accepted **BBJ** ’s apology, and others, well, I think their equivocations should be ignored, in a spirit of mutual harmony and etcetera. IMHO. At any rate, could we stop it with the monkey feces already? In my (admittedly limited) experience, nothing good comes of monkey feces. ---

Tom, I don’t know about everywhere but in my neck of the woods the people I hear call someone white trash or say they are acting like white trash mean the following: They are behaving in a low class, ignorant kind of way. They are dressed in a low class, trashy kind of way. They made a statement that was low class or ignorant. Basically they aren’t acting, speaking or behaving like they have the sense the good Lord gave them. But thank you for the post about the origin…I learned something today which is always a goal. 😉 ---

Hmm. I didn’t realize that standing up for people was the same as picking on them in the first place. The posters that I’ve addressed were being unnecisarily rude to either BBJ or Aries, or were addressing me directly. My bad. Sorry, but if someone’s acting like an ass, I’m gonna call them on it. And if someone posts a message to me, I’m going to respond. Notice, that all of my posts except for the initial ones were in response to posts directed towards me. I’ve always thought it rude to not respond when you are being addressed. Don’t like it? There are hundreds of other threads to read on this board. ---
