# An Apology

In [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=189124) , I made an extremely inappropriate post. I was trying to make some beer-addled point about posting a rumor as a GQ, but it came off all wrong. When I was upbraided about it by **samclem** , I knew I was off base and tried to apologize, but that apology, I now realize in the cold harsh light of day, was flippant and insincere.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to **Flying Monk** , **samclem** , and **manhattan** for my actions.

Won’t happen again.
