I love the Quidditch plans, **Boo**. Yay for more Nat pictures! He looks so cute. Most babies aren’t all that well behaved when they’re baptized. Local Best Friend’s daughter is an exception. She was perfectly happy to have water poured on her. She looked very seriously at the priest while he was talking before he did the pouring bit. (She was almost 4 months old at the time.) She was a little bit fussy (but quietly so) when we went to Mass on Christmas Day, but didn’t make a sound at Easter (she was asleep for about 20 minutes of it, but was content the rest of the time to just hang out in the car seat/carrier. _Free Culture_ sounds really interesting, **rigs**. I added it to my to-read list on GoodReads. (I added Barchester Towers while I was there, too, **Bobbio**.) **beebs** : **Mooooooom** is _so_ going to ground you when she gets back!!! Hi **Sean**! Sorry you’re so over-busy. (I’m in a similar boat - heh, there sure are a lot of water-craft-related idioms - and it’s no fun.) There were 2 MMP-Fests, actually: **rosie** , **beebs** and **mousie** (well, and **hawkeyeop** , who is a non-Mumping Doper) got together Friday night for dinner. You probably saw the special bulletin on **Puggy** and **FCM’s** lunch today. Glad you all had a nice time, btw, **FCM** and **Puggy**. I imagine it’s too late for you to see it, **taxi** , but I think it’s fine if you bring in a cake. It’s not like you’re planning a formal party in her honor. Glad #1’s documentary went well. Sounds like an interesting topic. Came home late and went right to the kitchen to make the food I’d meant to make yesterday: chicken spaghetti sauce (or, what to do with leftover chicken and spaghetti sauce), filling for spinach calzones (sautee leeks, add defrosted and de-liquified chopped spinach; later, I’ll add feta and an egg), and chicken soup (or, what to do with leftover chicken carcass). Also, I heated up leftover pizza for dinner. I’m off to put stuff away in the kitchen. I’m still re-stocking the cupboards; guess I should finish that up. Hugs to all I missed… GT ---

Oh how I hate Spring… Many years ago when I was running around the world on full-tilt crazy I met The Guy[sup]TM[/sup]. We loved. We laughed. We meshed. We bonded. We made each others’ world make sense like it never had before. And then, it all fell apart and I was left devastated and literally unable to get out of bed. All that I could think about was the depths of my misery over and over and over again. That may not have been my worst depressive period ever, however it was the first major one and it always seems to stick with me. And it comes back to haunt me in the Spring because that’s when all the madness began. Every new chirping bird, that different smell in the air, the crickets in the swamp. I’ve let go of that unrealistic and bizarre false love, but the misery haunts me and even after 5 years I still can’t shake it. Dear God, make it stop please. ---

Hello everyone. I hate Mondays at work. Ah well, the workday is over and now I can relax. Wait, I can’t really relax, I still have to cook dinner and all that jazz, but you all know what I mean. The people that run one of my credit cards are idjits. They called today because I was WAAAAAAAY overdue on my payment. Yeah, those were their words. Um, I’m nine days late, and while there’s no excuse for it, I wouldn’t say I was WAAAAAAAAAY overdue. :rolleyes: They spoke to my husband and wanted to confirm our address and my husband said, “What’s in your computer?” The caller from the CC company said, “Uh, that’s not the way we do it. You tell US first”. Hubby said, “No, you tell me what is in your computer and then I’ll either confirm it or correct it.” The phone call ended with no resolution. 😕 Anyway, I got on line and made the damn payment. You know what else? I didn’t even get a fucking bill from them. I had paid the card off last summer and so it was sort of “Out of use, out of mind” kind of thing. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that hubby had used the card to help pay for his big, expensive trip to the dentist in February. :o Well, it’s taken care of and I won’t forget April’s payment. I guess I should tend to dinner now. Anyone wanna come over and cook for me? ---

I forgot to say that I think “Screaming Baptisms” would make a good band name. I have no idea why. The kid, he’s way cute. I can’t think of anything to say about that picture except that I don’t know if I would have noticed, but I now can’t _not_ see it. And here I was thinking you’re cute before. ---

Today was a crazy day at work because it’s the last day of the month, and everything needs to be done before we go home, plus I’ve taken on some of my old duties again that had been moved out, and I had to do some stuff that the logistics manager usually deals with because he’s on a cruise somewhere right now. Tomorrow morning will be dead, but tomorrow afternoon will be crazy too, and we have more stuff happening this week than we’ve had in a bit. ---
