Glad to hear that Mr GilaMonster and his group are all ok, **Pie**. I can’t believe all the photos of the devastation in Haiti… those poor, poor people. ☹ Congrats on your first crochet project, **Spaz**! Tread carefully… that stuff is addictive, and next thing you know, you’ll be up to your eyeballs in gorgeous, fluffy, expensive yarns. 🙂 Time for lunchies. Damned if I know where my morning went… if anyone saw it zip by, I’d appreciate knowing which direction it went in. ---

Things are not good. There is no way for them to get out of Haiti before their scheduled return date which is Monday and their hotel has completely collapsed. For now they are ok, but they’re worried about rioting. Also, the director of the missionary program was missing the last that we heard which was sometime this morning. ---

I spent most of the day with GilaMonster. Somehow the local news found out what was going on and wanted to interview the wives. Just as they were about finished, they got a call saying that it is possible that they might make it out much sooner. I can’t give details right now, but we’re all hoping for the best. I think it’s about naptime. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ---

Please let GilaMonster know that this weird person you don’t _really_ know but know anyway in south Jawja is keeping her husband, his mission team and her in his thoughts and prayers. Did I compliment you on your picture, **Bobbio**? Cuz it really is a very nice one of you. Glad it sounds like Mr. Gila Monster might be able to get out sooner rather than later. I’ve got NPR on in the background and it’s felt like that’s practically all they’ve been reporting on. The U.S. Embassy was apparently undamaged, so turning there for help if they still need anything sounds like it would be an option (assuming they can get there, which might not be too easy). On the plus side, they reported that the airport was in better shape than expected, so aid should be able to arrive by air much sooner than originally anticipated. Today was my Monday. It was too long. That is all. Back to knitting and organizing stuff. Woo hoo. GT ---

So, guess who’ll be writing an article every couple of weeks for a local restaurant/food site? 🙂 Totally small potatoes (and the pay is so low it may as well be volunteer work), but everybody’s gotta start somewhere… right? I have to say, I’m quite excited about the whole thing. ---

Life in general is crap - work crap, home crap, don’t wanna do nothing crap. Mostly tired crap. I need a solid, uninterrupted night of sleep, but it ain’t happening lately. That’s very good news, **Pie.** Ugh, what a long day. Frankly, it was another frustrating day. My mood is about the same as **Mooooom’s.** The fact that I’m in constant pain doesn’t really help, but it’s such a low grade pain most of the time, I just don’t realize I’m in pain until it subsides for a few minutes. It’s making me very tired.☹ Feel better, **kai.** Congrats, **Mahna**! I ended up leaving work half an hour later than normal, which on the face of things isn’t horrible, but traffic is completely fubarred at that time of evening. I was supposed to make chicken and dumplings tonight, but it’ll have to wait until tomorrow night. I made a little headway on a project that is sucking all my time up, and am hoping that it’ll be finished tomorrow. Then I can move on the 99 bazillion other projects I’ve got.:rolleyes:☹ Hugs and smooches to all. I’m just too tired to think straight, much less post.
