We’ve gotten extended warranties on 2 used vehicles. Both have saved us a fortune on transmission and engine work. I wouldn’t do it for a new car, though.
You got lucky, becuase the warranty company will probably soon be out of business.
This is way these companies tend to operate: when they start up, they sell lots and lots of warranty plans to dealerships that are competitively priced. They pay the first handful of claims that come in, and then they fold up.
