# An interesting quote..perhaps pertaining to the Bush admin.

Actually, he has not been charged with anything–which is the point. He is being held without legal counsel and without due process for mysterious reasons that the administration refuses to divulge.

While I think **Reeder** is a bit alarmist regarding what the administration will do the the country, _in general_, their utter disregard of Padilla’s rights (while creating one or two fictions to pretend he is not a “real” citizen) should be cause for concern among even Bush’s supporters.
