Lack of motivation today when it is 78 and sunny outside. I have a spreadsheet project to work on but after this mornings frustrations…Idonwanna! 😃 I swear I am a tax paying law abiding citizen that is not a danger to society. All I wanna do is be able to stay with **mr ems** although he might not want me to after I vented my frustrations at him this morning. **kanga** glad the lucid days for your dad are providing a little break at least. ---

Howdy Y’all! Home from irk. YAY!!! Tonight is the last Lenten soup 'n sammich at the church house. So that’s dindin tonight. Even though next week is Holy Week and a part of Lent, instead of soup ‘n sammich we’ll be doin’ an Agape Supper which is kinda neat. Google Agape Supper if you want to know more. I would but I’m not. **mmmmmms** sorry for all the frustration but even with waitin’ three weeks to take the test, still sounds like a better deal than the meds. Still, woulda been nice of 'em to say sump’n first. **kanga** enjoy the good days. Think of 'em as a kinda respite. So there we have it from **MOOOOOOOM** , **gigity** is as nummy lookin’ in person as he is in his pic. 😃 ---

Supper was home made chickie noodle soup - very yum. We had a little bit of rain, but not enough to wet the whole driveway. Oh well. I’ve got the sprinkler going on my seeded lawn for another half an hour. Time to knit… TTFN! ---

Done Done & Done. All that’s left is the kitchen. So, there, **Moooooom** 😃 \*\*PB \*\*will probably (administratively) kill me for telling ya’ll this. But he dropped me off at the Dollar Store while he went to the store to get bologna (they don’t have the kind we like at Aldi) He totally forgot I was waiting there on him & drove all the way home before he remembered! _LOL_ Gonna go be a phonemonkey for awhile. Home from soup 'n sammich and Evening Prayer. Bean soup tonight. Sorry to hear about the sinuses. I’ve been amazed that the pollen this year hasn’t really bothered me. Either our old neighborhood was infested with trees that I’m allergic to, or I’ve managed to become resistant. Just watch…karma will now make me wake up tomorrow all puffy and stuffy. ---

Sitting outside the Hirshhorn Art Museum at Independence and 7th Streets SE where a 35 minute movie is being projected on the exterior of the entire museum at night, and people can walk up and watch from close and afar. The music is ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’ by many different artists. We’re doing a story & live shot here for the 11. I’ll try to link to it later when it airs. Pretty surreal. ---

It occurred to me when I paid the landscapers today that they come every other week, and the last time they were here, we had to ask them to leave early, because we’d just called the cops on Dad, as Dad had barricaded himself in his bedroom and weren’t takin’ his pills, ain’t no way, ain’t no how. Two weeks? _Seriously?_ That’s all it’s been? I mean, we’re looking at assisted living facilities, Mom’s got control of financial and health decisions, I’ve doubled up on my counseling sessions, and our entire outlook on the next 1-3 years has completely changed. In two weeks. I cannot grok it. In the meantime, I picked up a new tutoring student. Only six hours, private pay, which is nice, because it’s less paperwork. Child is smart and charming and thoroughly spoiled in a not-bad way. She’s just smart enough to get herself in trouble. She’s used to instantly understanding what’s going on, so when the going gets tough, she gives up. Her grandparents own a palatial residence on top of a nearby mountain. The community is gated, and their driveway is gated. They have an infinity pool. There was a Porsche in the driveway when I arrived today. I swear, I have never in my life had such a bitter, petty spike of anger as I did when I pulled in yesterday. The whole “it’s not _fair_ that we work so hard and have so little” blah blah blah. Took me a couple of minutes to shake it. Usually, when I’m really struck by the comparative difference in wealth between me and someone else, my reaction is usually 'holy cow, glad I don’t have to worry about the upkeep on that. Sure is pretty, though." I think it’s less about envy or coveting than it is anxiety over how much I want to arrange placement for Dad in the really nice, incredibly expensive assisted living. I swear, you hand me any topic, and in less than two independent statements, I can turn it into my dad and his Alzheimer’s. ---

Standard reporter / photog work. Real pain in the ass - I only had about a half hour to edit, then we had technical problems switching the truck into hi-def mode so I had to wing it for the live shot. That and I didn’t get any dinner, so I was a cranky dick. Glad to be home. ---
