I think one of your lottery aspirations should be more shirts. šŸ˜› I noticed you didnā€™t mention a Mega-Dopefest as a possibility for your winnings. I guess we know how \*we \*rate! Yeah, of course, up early. A good chunk of today will be spent in cooking mode. Iā€™m baking a pineapple upside-down cake, building a meatloaf, and making a cucumber salad - all for supper tonight. Another chunk - at least an hour - will be spent moving some more plants. Beyond that, who knows? Iā€™ll wing it. Hard to believe March is almost gone - 2012 is just screaming towards our inevitable end on Dec 21, ainā€™t it?? _\_ Happy Thursday! ---

Hi all. In the middle of a bizzare week. The funeral was Tuesday, on a sunny, warm day with a breeze blowing. It was very uplifting and a tender, sweet service. So many friends came to support us. Iā€™m exhausted. Weā€™ve been sitting shiva all week, with lots of people showing up. Hubby had to go back to LI, after being home all last week and Tuesday. So Iā€™m doing all the driving and kid stuff and Iā€™m just so tired.im actually teaching today and back to shiva tonight. I just want to hole up and sleep and let the world revolve without me. ---

Never trust those fucking tv people - theyā€™re all alike! šŸ˜› And if I win, my favorite Mumpers and Dopers will be my guests on a cruise. Guess I should buy a ticket or two, huh? My morning in the kitchen was productive. Thereā€™s a pineapple upside down cake cooling on the counter, a meatloaf formed and waiting to be baked, and a cucumber-onion salad marinating in a bag with most of the air squeezed out so the dressing permeates the veggies. But I ran out of mayo! Can you imagine?? ---

OK, time out to BITCH!!! I am SICK AND TIRED of manufacturers shrinking the sizes of products while holding the price the same, trying to sneak in price rises. I just got back from the store where, among other things, I picked up some mayo. Mayo is no longer sold in quarts - itā€™s now 30 oz. Just like ice cream ceased to be sold in half gallons, but is 1.5 quarts, canned pumpkin is no longer a pound but is 14.5 oz, canned dog food is 13.5 oz instead of a pound, and on and on and on. KNOCK IT OFF, DAMMIT!!! My pumpkin pie recipe calls for ONE POUND of canned pumpkin. I have to be happy with not quite 91% of that. So, how do I make 91% of 4 eggs? Or 91% of a tablespoon of cinnamon? Oh, maybe I can open a second can, take out 1.5 oz so I have a full pound for a pie, then, um 13 oz left over for, um, next time?? Same deal with cleaning products, and while that doesnā€™t affect recipes, it requires additional trips to the store because you run out sooner. And toothpaste! And sunscreen! I swear, the only thing they havenā€™t screwed with is a gallon of milk and a pound of butter - those prices just rise. _ **KNOCK IT OFF, DAMMIT!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr** _ OK, Iā€™m OK. Howdy Yā€™all! Iā€™m at da cave cause well irk was beinā€™ irksome and besides, my dumbass self has managed to lose my cellphone. GRRRRRRR! At myself, of course. No one else is in the office and anything I need to take care of I can do from da cave so I just gave up for the day. On the cellphone front, I am a cellphone Luddite. All I want is sumpā€™n to talk on. Donā€™t do text and donā€™t do teh intartoobz on the phone. OYKW is the same way. So, upgrade eligibile we are (itā€™s my account but heā€™s on it cause itā€™s cheaper that way and cheap we both definitely are :D) with, according to attwireless online a $36.00 upgrade fee per line. No, no, no that will not do, so I called up and stated that I am not willinā€™ to pay upgrade fees. I got retention and lo and behold, no upgrade fees! Itā€™s like magic! So, when OYKW gets here this eveninā€™ Ima show him phones and hint largely at the one we should get and then order ā€˜em. In the mean time I can live a few days without a cellphone. Matter of fact Iā€™m kinda lookinā€™ forward to the idea, Luddite that I am cellphone wise. Dindin tonight is death chikin. I stopped at the stoā€™ and bought some chikin thighs cause I like dark meat better for death chikin. **{{{Soapy}}}** hang in there. Get some rest. FML. The new military ID my dad got on Monday? That he put in his brand new wallet on Tuesday? Is now missing. He put it somewhere safe and canā€™t find it again. But, hey, at least we have multiple copies of his birth certificate! ---
