Mullets aren’t a crime. They’re a personal statement. Said statement being: Bowl cuts aren’t THAT bad. As Bricker said, a bet’s a bet. No apology necessary. And really, if you like long hair that much, then let him grow it all long or something. That’s not _quite_ as painful to look at. ---

I posted once here that I had witnessed mullet maintainence in action. He asked for short on the top, keep it long in back. ---

And yeah, it’s possible for a 3 year old to have hair that long. Both of my daughters would have had hair that long or longer if we hadn’t cut it. My older daughter’s hair was almost long enough for a ponytail when she was born (7 weeks early, no less). No kidding. When my water broke at the nurse-midewife’s office unexpectedly, she popped up from between my knees and said “Good God, wait’ll you see the wad of black hair this kid’s got. It’ll probably fall out, though.” It didn’t. It looked like she was wearing a dark curly wig until she was about two. ---

ROTFLMAO\*Thanks for the laughs guys.I didn’t have ANY idea CG had made this bet with his boss until he came home looking like a haircut that makes him look like he has a giant diseased Q-tip on his head. If I had before/after pics I would post them, but sadly, I do not as I don’t even own a camera. CG is one of the few guys I know that looks decent in a modified mullet. It’s not exactly Joe Dirt mullet-y but it’s shorter in front(so he can see) with longish sides and the back usually falls right between the shoulderblades. It’s very cute on him and I hate it when it’s this short. Oh well…it’s only hair. It’ll grow back.😃 IDBB ---

Can I ask someone wiser than m’self to explain the outright _hostility_ some of y’all have for mullets? I mean, I realize that it’s supposed to be the ultimate symbol of redneck trailertrashiness and all, but, umm… Isn’t that perpetuating a stereotype in a big non-ignorance fighting way? Can we safely assume anyone who’s ever lived in a housetrailer, or owned a Trans-Am (or Camaro), or ever lived south of the Mason-Dixon line is deserving of scorn and derision too? I realize these posts are mostly made in good fun and all, but if the subject was, say, afroes, or dreadlocks, or hell, even mohawks, would it all be quite as “harmless” and innocent? [sub]I’ve never seen so many folks get so worked up over a buncha’ dead cells. Does everyone need to wear their fingernails a certain way, too?[/sub] ---
