# An underwear poll!!!

Here it is, simple stuff really, and more for those of you (us) that go to the gym/health club, and use the showers there.
Most days I go after work, and then straight home. On those days, I don’t shower, just throw a sweatshirt over my sweaty clothes, toss my day-time clothes in the gym bag and shower at home.
BUT, some days, like today, I have something to do in the evening, and it makes more sense to shower there, and change back into my clothes. I mentioned this to a guy I was talking to here, and said “oh crap, I packed everything but underwear, I need to stop home and grab some boxers and socks before I go…”
He says, no, I should just put the ones I’m wearing now back on.

No - If i wear these all day, workout then shower, I’m not putting back on the smelly drawers I wore all day long.
He says it’s fine, I say I’ll put back on the jeans and rugby shirt, but NOT the underwear.
What say you?
Everyone side with me please so I can make my co-worker feel like some kind of unsanitary slob.

I feared I was being whooshed.
Stay out of my…oh, the PLANET.
That’s funny, my dad used to joke that when he went on business trips, he’d take old underwear he didn’t have to pack to bring back, just wear twice and throw away. Once one way, the next day inside out.
I think he was joking anyway.

If this is the underwear that you’ve worked out in, then I say no, that’s gross.
If it is underwear you’ve worn during the course of the day, but have not done anything strenuous in, I’d say it is borderline okay.

Depends on what you’ve been doing in them. Sitting at a desk all day? Wear them again, no harm. Unloading a truck in the sun? Don’t put them back on.
Either way, commando’s always an acceptable option.

Underwear is for folks who wear the same trousers the next day. Two layers of clean cotton is no better than one. What the heck do undies guard against, Levi bites? Are you afraid you’ll get a woody, and people will _discover_ :eek: that you’re a _guy_ :smack: ? Heavens, what would a gal think of you if she saw you with a stiffy!? She might think you (gasp) think about sex! Oh, my.
Yeah, I can razz you now, because I used to think like that.

That was my other, acceptable option. For me, doesn’t matter if I’m sitting on my tail [del]surfing the Dope[/del] working all day at a desk, or slogging heavy bags of sand in the sun - if I wore it all day, I’m not wearing it after I shower.

I totally agree with this statement. I do not put sweat dampened undies on after I’ve showered so I can sit with moistened loins for the rest of the evening. I’d go commando before resorting to that.

I’ve heard of this…this turning day-old underwear inside out. Ew. It seems the choice is either wearing it rightside in, and letting the day-old cooties continue to fester, or wear it inside out and letting the cooties seep through your outerwear into the world.
I don’t usually go commando, but if I ever find myself without underwear, for example when I’m dressing at the gym and forgot to put a clean pair in my bag, I definitely prefer going commando over wearing the dirty pair in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. I’d rather have my trousers in direct contact with my clean body, than with dirty underwear..
