What is the other issue and what is the age? I am a little lost and suspecting leakage or brown stains?

Pecker Tracks. Happens about the same time your prostate stops seeing regular use. Not something you need to worry about, Jimmy.

Well, pecker tracks and…marmoset stains.
\<snip\>the underwear in question is just the everyday wear, not the actual workout underwear.\<snip\>
Yeah, this is what I thought you meant (or, rather, that you wear a different pair of undewear for your workout).

When I go to the gym (directly from work), I’ll change into my workout clothes (including a pair of underwear that I use specifically for working out). Since I typically go right home after the gym, I’ll shower after my workout and re-wear my everyday underwear. (I can’t go home without showering since I don’t own a car, and it takes me up to 1.5 hours to get home via public transit. Going commando wouldn’t be a problem for me on principal, but heck, since I’m going straight home anyway, I don’t mind re-wearing the everyday boxers.)

And, anyway, since I’m going to wash again and change clothes before going back out–which is generally to my job almost 12 hours later–why “waste” another clean pair of boxers for the time it’s going to take me to travel between the gym and my apartment?

Then again, my everyday boxers don’t tend to get soiled in the way that people might be thinking. When I, uhh, evacuate, I use both toilet tissue \*\*and \*\* baby wipes (yeah, I’m totally anal about my anal cleanliness), and, as I mentioned in another thread some time ago, I dab \*\*Li’l Pluck Junior \*\* dry with tissue when I urinate. In other words, no stains or smells ('cept for my frankincense body oil) or anything like that during the average wearing of my underwear.

Oh, and if I’m going somewhere other than home after the gym–especially if it’s for a protracted period of time–I’ll change into a fresh pair (which I leave at the gym in case I forget to bring some with).

Women leak too. I just can’t imagine how so many people can go commando and be comfortable with it. But if it works for them, that’s fine.
Depends - are you both girls? If so, then sure it makes sense to be irrationally germaphobic (or maybe rationally, I’m not sure what “down there” is capable of). But but if you’re both guys, then…what exactly do you think will happen if you continue wearing the same underwear throughout the day? What difference does a midday pause in wearing them make?
Most of the females that I’ve known have non-urine “leak” issues. It’s not an issue or arousal or even a need for hygiene modification, but some of us are naturally putting forth enough of a [sub]discharge[/sub] “stain” that it’d be unthinkable to NOT change one’s underwear after working out and showering.

Upon further clarification, since the OP is male, I’d suggest to him that going commando isn’t going to hurt anything.

I wasn’t going to get into it, but what **nashiitashii** said. Some of us are kinda damp all the time, it’s just the way it is. Why do you think they sell panty liners? I don’t think they’re really intended for periods.
I don’t wear underwear while working out (sports bra yes, but leggings or shorts down below), but would never get back into used underwear after a shower - no matter how clean they appear to be, they are by definition less clean than me, and bring my average down, so to speak. I’d rather go commando (and have, in both jeans and skirts) rather than reuse. That’s icky.
Are your shorts loose enough around the leg to accidently give a show to the guy on the recumbent bike?

If so…

Mind if I work out here?

Exactly. I wish more older women would wear these liners. I don’t think a lot of them realize that they need to.
