Sting still hurts, and that part of my arm is hot. Stoopit wasp! I’ve been Netflixing and crocheting. Dunno what we’ll do for supper, especially since we had late lunch. I suspect it’ll be a grab-whatever night. And the excitement continues… ---

Brings a tear to my eye, it does. (the poem that is) So I’m sitting in the line at CVS, when I hear this wailing from behind me. I thought maybe somebody back there was irritated because the line was moving so slowly. Nopie, nopie, it was the woman in the car behind me singing along to the radio. Don’t ask me what she was singing, I couldn’t tell. She seemed to be enjoying it, her passenger, not so much. Stopped at taco hell on the way home. I got something because I was starving. Gonna pay for it later. ---

Supper was a sammich. meh. What I wanted was a big bowl of veggie soup, but we didn’t have any, so turkey and swiss on toast it was… meh. One more square to crochet, then I’ll have to edge around all 30 and sew them together. But not tonight. I’ll just do the last square, then chill. I’s tahred. _ **MWAH!** _ ---

I worked, it was busy and the crazies were out. I redid the snack section, and there were a bunch of cans of almonds on clearence. Shrimpies and sallit made for a good dindin. The evenin’ has given over to chillaxin’. OYKW had him a long soak in the tub. He does love him a whirlpool bath. I’ve been on the 'puter. Some beerverages have been consumed on both parts. NICE! Now we shall retire to the boudoir to watch teevee and other stuff until sleepy time. Nitey Nite Y’all! ---

I went to Andy’s for a hamburger. Splurging lunch at $6.35. There are two women there often, a Mother and Daughter from their ages. As I took my tray to the trash I saw an envelope on the floor near the older woman. I came back to return it to her, and saw a newspaper clipping near it, very old, very faded, very folded. “Did you drop these, Ma’am?” “Oh thank you!” “You are very welcome.” I wonder what that clipping was. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 72 Amurrkin and rainy with a predicted high of _ONLY_ 76 (BRRRRRR!) and rain for the day that might clear up by mid-afternoon. So much for cee-mint pond time I reckon. Later this mornin’ I shall be contactin’ folks to show up for cocktails and dindin rather than cee-mint pond time followed by dindin. Such is life. When I let Higgs out this morning, I saw that I’d left the shed open all night. Makes me wonder why \*\*FCD \*\*didn’t close it when he took the dog out last night. As long as a family of raccoons didn’t take up residence while the doors were open, it’s not a big deal. This wasp sting is making me crazy - itching and swollen and, in general, annoying. Stoopit wasps! I need to get them to vacate their nest without having to use poisons that might kill my plants. Stoopit wasps! Dunno what we’ll do today. Much rain is forecast, and I don’t know when it will start so I don’t know what, if anything, I can do outside. At the moment, the morning light is weird - very orange. And from the looks of the weather radar, precip could start within an hour or so. We shall see. Meanwhile, I’m caffeinating and scratching. Heck of a way to start the day. Happy Saturday! ---

Don’t be a wuss - do the Jawja version of Polar Plunge! 😛 When we were living on the lake in FL, our darling daughter wanted to go swimming one December. Yep, it was cold, but we told her to go ahead. She did get completely wet, and I think she lasted 5 minutes out there. And she never asked again to swim in December. 😃 ---
