I’ve been in the drivers seat and enjoyed it completely on many different occasions. The women enjoyed it as well, though less than regular vaginial sex. Its all about lubrication and relaxation. Achieve those two goals and the rest will be easy. And for the record, no fecal matter was involved and would have grossed me it if it had been. ---

guy here…give it regularly, have recieved it, always DAMN enjoyable. Seems to me that there is little stigma involved in my part of the world in regards to her receiving, however, much stigma in my receiving. I guess it is just not the kind of thing guys discuss over beers during the football game… ---

I think the reason I jumped to her defense is because I recall in almost every pit thread about her, someone jumps in and begs her to ‘just post like a regular gal, not about religion, and maybe people will like you better’. And I’ve witnessed her doing it twice since then, and people still jump all over her trying to interpret some sort of fundie crap out of it. How about we lay off her for a while and see what happens? ---

I’ve given a few times but prefer to receive. It wasn’t always the case though. At first I couldn’t stand to receive from a strap-on or a toy. It wasn’t until I was talked into receiving from a “natural” source that I really found pleasure in it. It just felt better than some piece of plastic or silicon. ---

I was married for 7 years and dated for 2 before that, only a handful of times, no pun intended, was it dirty, yes a small amount sometimes but not often. I’ve tried it with a few other women, most have enjoyed it, they did complain of some pain, especially in the begining but lube and being nice is what’s called for. I’m not really into it so I don’t push for it. ---

For ladies: Have you ever had anal sex with your SO? Did you enjoy it/would you again, and did they enjoy it? Yep. Done it, enjoyed it immensely, and he enjoyed it too. It’s not something we do _all_ the time… maybe once a month. My best advice is to invest in some Anal Eaze and use lots of it! Wait a couple of minutes after applying it before he/she dives in. It helps you relax and has a little numbing stuff in it that eases the uncomfortable entry. I’m afraid I’ve said too much. 😛 ---

The doyen of sex advice columnists (IMHO), Dan Savage, recommends enemas before anal intercourse. Apparently this is how they avoid showing any fecal matter in porn movies, many of which have anal sex. ---

One attempt at receiving a long time ago - it didn’t quite … work, I didn’t really like it, and I have no interest in repeating the attempt. But I certainly don’t think there is anything wrong with it. ---

Whatever two consenting adults do in private still creeps me out. I don’t see the point in (heterosexual) anal intercourse. There is that perfectly good other opening just a little ways away. My wife and I have tried it a couple times. It’s enjoyable (what’s that line about pizza, sex, and “The Simpsons”?), but somewhat low on the list of other enjoyable orifices/fun places to rub up against. I can usually think of other things I’d rather be doing to/with her, but we both seem to agree that anal can be fun now and again. ---

I have heard that fecal matter only comes into the rectum when you have to have a bowel movement, but I’m sure some doctors on the board can either agree or deny. ---

By the way, my first husband tried to force me into anal sex and I had to run out of the house in the middle of the might with not much clothes on. I was absolutely terrified! I knew I was too small for that and it would be agony and probably tear me up. I never went back. ---

H4E: YMMV means Your Mileage May Vary. It means, basically, that this is my opinion, and that others are not expected to hold it. People who state opinions that others disagree vehemently with add it to show that they recognize this fact. (Ahem.) Yes, you had a bad experience with anal sex. Others have had good experiences with it. Your bad experience does not invalidate their good experiences, and vice versa.
