How does the “no politics” rule work here? I see a few threads in which it would be impossible to avoid politics. What do you want us to do if a thread should probably be in this forum, but isn’t? For example, “[Should I completely avoid visiting my elderly parents for the next few months](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=891807),” which is about the risk posed by COVID-19. ---

This is great. I was getting depressed whenever I looked at a forum where 2/3 of the threads on the front page were coronavirus-related. Thought about starting a thread on tipping, or declawing, just to get everyone distracted or pissed off by something different. By the way, if you put a plane on a treadmill, will it take off? \ ---
