I especially liked her in _The Turning Point_. She and MacLaine were great together. I would stop and watch _anything_ she was in. That is rare for me. “Heaven holds a place…Hey, hey, hey…” ---

She’d be glad to hear all the praise in this thread for her roles **other** than Mrs. Robinson. Odd, too, that she was only six years older than Hoffman, yet playing a woman a generation older than his character. _I love Helen. Forever…and ever._ ---

But note that the characters were only a short generation apart. Benjamin was supposed to be 21, having graduated from college a year early. Mrs. Robinson was presumably supposed to be about 40. Elaine Robinson was also supposed to be 21, and we’re told that Mrs. Robinson had dropped out of college to marry and have Elaine, so she was about 19 when Elaine was born. ---
