Supposedly Darby Crash of the punk band The Germs killed himself in a way for maximum attention- unfortunately the attention was scant as he was in a punk band unbeknownst to most, and also John Lennon died same day. ---

William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes both died on the 23rd of April in 1616. However, Cervantes’s death was 10 days before Shakespeare’s. In 1616, England was still using the Julian Calendar, while Spain had switched over the the Gregorian calendar, which is the one we primarily use today. ---
