Definitely not impossible. I went from April of 03 until March of 12 without a job, before finding one.

That’s similar to what my recently-employed husband does. That offer after months of crap is so, so sweet.

Agreed. Prolonged unemployment, without more, and through no fault of the applicant but reflective of the generally sluggish economy, should never be a disqualifying factor.
