Okay, so I understand that in the porn industry, there’s a person called a “fluffer” whose job is to keep the male lead…um…at attention. My question is–what the hell could they possibly do? There’s a naked woman _right there,_ willing to do all variety of acts to him, and he _knows_ he gets to have sex with her. I can understand how the pressure of lights, cameras, directors, etc. everywhere may make him a limp fellow, but I’m just wondering what on earth a fluffer actually does to the guy to keep him erect. I think a ‘fluffer’ **is** a naked lady performing oral sex. Sort of like the ‘stand-ins’ on movie and TV sets, who go through the motions for lights and camera angles so the expensive stars don’t have to waste their time, a fluffer works between takes on the male lead so the starslut doesn’t get lockjaw. * * * “I drive way too fast to worry about my cholesterol.” ---

Well, and this is just a guess, I expect the psychological value, and that’s all it is, of a naked woman nearby, and the anticipation of sex is severely attenuated for these guys, and they need direct genital stimulation to keep it up, Larry ---

A fluffer is (or was) likely not naked on the job; it is, after all, just another day at the office. Her job is to orally stimulate the guy(s) who is (are) about to be on camera. I think they’re a thing of the past, pretty much, as the porn industry has, as with other businesses, trimmed overhead as much as possible. But maybe somebody who really knows will show up. ---

If you want to see fluffers “on the job” you can watch Annabel Chong’s _World’s Biggest Gang Bang_ video, in which Ms Chong set a world record by having sex over two hundred times. So how long do you think a shoot lasts, a couple of hours at least. Imagine having to go through the motions, in and out and in and out and not being able to ejaculate, you’d get the biggest case of blue balls ever. Handy, [ask.com](http://ask.com) is a search engine. Do you have a cite for the actual website where you got your information? Gay porn films undoubtedly use gay male fluffers (if they use any at all) but I’m betting a male fluffer would have the opposite of the desired effect with most heterosexual male porno actors. But while checking at Ask Jeeves, I found there’s a pretentious New York City band called Fluffer. Handy is having a nasty habit lately of thinking he knows all about the porn industry. Fluffers still exist, at least in straight porno. The might be naked, they might not. They don’t do oral, per se, they simnply do ANYTHING in order to keep the male performers… attention. They’ll touch it, they’ll suck it, they’ll even fuck it (but not often, and usually she jumps on top, as they don’t want to tire the stud out). I would assume fluffers are also in the gay industry, simply because the directors are dealing with the same props, it’s just where they go that is changed.
