I will always associate him with the comedy Citizen Smith. I was young when I watched CS(late 1970’s) and even back then he looked an old man to me. He rarely seemed to appear on our screen for years after that. ---

I know I had seen him in tons of stuff. He was never out of work for 60 years. Until I saw Terry Gilliam’s Facebook post I had no idea he was the ogre with the bad back in \*Time Bandits. \* ---

Ah, yes. I remember him as the ogre in _Time Bandits_. He worked for Terry Gilliam again as Mr. Helpmann in _Brazil_. and was also in “The Boscombe Valley Mystery,” one of the Jeremy Brett _Sherlock Holmes_ stories. He was wonderful as Anthony Hopkins’ father in **The Remains of the Day**. I almost didn’t recognize him when I first started watching GOT.
