When the powers at be go through the prescribed disciplinary steps as mandated by their union. Seeing as no actual disciplinary steps have been taken and even above the commissioner does not even threaten discipline - I think it’s safe to say that this is not unacceptable behavior that rises to the level of official discipline. How do you reconcile your worship of authority with the idea that you’re not happy with how the authority figures are handling the situation? ---

Holy fuck can we put the recreational grief over these two cops to bed yet? Sure, it sucks that they got killed. But Jesus titty-fucking Christ does every police department in the fucking world need to send recreational grievers? Do we need to paint them as the second coming of Christ Himself? From all accounts there were a couple of decent guys who died too soon. This tragedy plays itself out thousands of times every day. ---

The cops’ behavior, desecrating funerals of their own dead, was obviously repugnant. This thread allows good insight into the Board’s right-wingers.
