The Electric Company! I always loved Dracula’s expression. He seems so surprised someone would run away! I sing this song all the time. No one ever knows what I’m talking about. ---

**Sefton** , I don’t recall hearing that song before, and if I had, I sure didn’t know that it was Tom Lehrer. I was just old enough to miss most of the Sesame Street/Electric Company sort of stuff, although I sometimes saw it because of younger siblings. This, for some reason, reminded me of the capital I song (which I found, with bonus lower case n song). It always seemed very existential to me. I liked all the Electric Company cartoon clips that were spoofs of 2001: A Space Odyssey. At the time I had _no_ idea what they were about. ---

The late seventies electric company was my favorite show- we gave away our television and didn’t get another for ten years, by which time it had turned into a different show… I was super excited when I found it in the program recently- but it isn’t even trying to be the same thing. It’s all hip hop and dancing now. ☹
