Wars tend to be moral grey areas for most of us. Killing animals for fun, on the other hand, doesn’t tend to be a moral grey area. The dog isn’t a moral actor. Dogs don’t “deserve” to have bad things happen to them, just as, say, infants don’t deserve bad things. When it’s a matter of black and white for most people, it’s a lot easier to be outraged. In this thread, **Tentacle Monster** has expressed a longing for the perpetrator to be, essentially, tortured nightly for a year. Ta da! We’re back in a grey area. ---
