> Anyone know why the New York ABC affiliate (Channel 7) shows DH in Spanish?

Many TV outlets have begun simulcasting some or all of their programming in Spanish because of the ever-increasing population in the US of people who speak Spanish as their primary–or only–language.

When she saw him in the chapel in that tie, she said to her mother-in-law, something to the effect of, “I just saw him 15 minutes ago and he was wearing Ralph Lauren. What did you do?!” and the MIL replied that she thought Rex would’ve wanted to be in that tie because he _loved_ that prep school. So obviously there was a private family viewing before the service and sometime in between the MIL switched the tie. I’d’ve switched it back, too.

Thanks **Shayna** and **Wolfian**. I was cleaning while watching and I completely missed this part.

The thing that kept running through my mind was, last season when Bree and Rex had their discussion on Rex wanting to be dominated, Bree’s response was “What did your mother _do_ to you?”

She’s obviously a warped cookie. She even kept the girlie mag Rex hid under his mattress, and had no trouble discussing with her grandson her surprise that Rex married the less well endowed Bree, since he likes em stacked .

That’s just messed up right there…

Lynette’s former associate said Lynette was “a shark,” and her old associate would love to have her back. Lynette, who had seen shark-like tendencies in her hubby’s old flame, put the two in touch with each other to get said flame out of hubby’s office. About that time, hubby found out about Lynette’s maneuverings, quit, and delivered his ultimatum to Lynette.

Yeah, but the old flame used that offer to manipulate her way into the VP position at Tom’s firm, and didn’t take the job with Lynette’s associate. Considering how that should be fairly recent in show time (Rex died last May and they are just now having the funeral), you’d think that the job was still open.

Lynette was going on like she couldn’t possibly get a job anywhere.

I thought Lynette’s “offer” came _after_ the flame’s promotion, and Lynette “gave” the offer to the flame to get her (finally) out of hubby’s office. In that case, Lynette’s offered job would be filled, and she couldn’t expect to get one at hubby’s old place.

So:

1. Don’t promote my husband
2. Flame promoted instead
3. I need a shark like you
4. Here’s your shark
5. Hubby quits

However, I concede that my chronology might be off.

Interesting… phungal and I were watching this and as soon as we saw “the hand” we both said: “that’s not the husband/father” as we both thought it was _not_ an african american hand…

Also, check the SAP setting on your cable box menu. If “on”, it will automatically feed the Spanish (or whatever alternate) audio. Turn it to “off”.

I dunno, novellas are _always_ entertaining; so, by default, Desperate Housewives in Spanish would be way better than in English.

Carlos: ¿Cómo podría usted tener sexo con el jardinero?

Gabby: ¡Mi padre era jardinero! ¡Mi padre magnífico era jardinero! ¡Toda mi vida que tengo deseó tener sexo con un jardinero! ¿Usted no entiende?

Carlos: Bien, eso tiene sentido.

Gabby: [obligatory] MARIA! [/obligatory]

(Ok, so I sorta stole that from the Soup, but it is still funny)

I can’t figure out how I missed part of the episode. Did I black out or something? Was this at the very end? _sob_

It was kind of around the middle. Lynnette had just taken Penny to the workplace with her because Tom had strained his back and couldn’t take care of the baby.

And then she got the job because she proved to be both knowledgeable and a heck of a multi tasker.

Right before they went into the basement, the mother said “You remembered the butter” to which the son replied “Of course, I make this tray up every night”

To me that implied this has been ongoing, and Zach was just recently around, so highly doubtful it would be him.

I did! And I loved the way she stormed out of the church, throwing open the front doors of the chuch, to walk into the bright sunlight.

Marcia Cross showed some darn good acting in this sequence.
