My Generation dropped 30% in viewership from its pilot. It’ll be gone soon.

Not only was MadTV cancelled, so was the show that replaced it. (the Wanda Sykes Show, on the off hand chance anyone cares)

They could cancel every new show I’ve watched so far this season (except for “Raising Hope”, which still has potential), and I wouldn’t complain.

Worst new TV season ever.

I do too. And as for _Lone Star_–I remember saying to the spouse Monday night while we were watching _House_, “Damn, but Fox is trying to jam that \*Lone Star \*show down our throats. Wonder if it sucks.”

Didn’t think it would get yanked after two episodes, though. I didn’t watch it–it looked bad to me, and even with all the annoying commercials it was hard to tell what it was supposed to be about, except that the guy and his dad were con men.

I’m disappointed but not surprised, since it’s Fox.

I watched the first episode because David Keith is a colleague of mine from the National Association to PROTECT Children and I wanted to lend some moral support.

It turned out I quite enjoyed it. I was worried halfway though, because this was obviously the type of show that was going to take time to really get set, given the complexity of the story it was trying to tell. By the second episode, when they hadn’t switched over to a Scam of the Week format, I was pretty sure it wasn’t going to last, but I at least hoped it would get a full season.

Re: _Lie to Me_. **Mrs. FtG** likes these kind of shows. But the last batch were not as good as the first ones. Too many involved friends/family of Lightman &Co. getting killed/whatever. (Shades of _Murder She Wrote_.) That’s officially a “We’re out of ideas.” signal.

It also crossed my “Melissa George line”: Any show that brings in Ms. George for a story arc is dying.

Putting new episodes of _LtM_ on after _House_ might result in a large drop of viewers, which makes network execs anxious.

I missed the first _Running Wilde_ but my wife and I tried to watch it this week, hoping for some _Arrested Development_ magic. Good God, it was horrible. We deleted it from our DVR after only watching 15 minutes. So far none of the new shows has grabbed me, which is good since I don’t have a ton of TV time to spare anyway.

Yeah, I’ll agree with you there. Much as I like the show, if I have to sit through one more episode where Lightman’s daughter is kidnapped/threatened/otherwise in harm’s way, I’m going to throw something (soft) at the TV.

[Check out the death watch on tv.com](http://www.tv.com/which-new-fall-show-will-be-canceled-next-/story/24107.html?tag=hotspot;gumball;1)

Undercovers is too stupid for words. I force fed myself the first episode but 5 minutes into the second and I canceled the series.

Chase isn’t nearly as bad but the characters are too stylized and dimensionless.

I don’t know about “The Whole Truth”. I like the concept but the rivalry angle seems way too forced.

Not surprised. The commercials were so sappy and cloying, they just turned me right off.

Undercovers isn’t bad so much as it just doesn’t have any real “pop” to it. I expect more from a JJ Abrams show. Then again, people only remember his successes like Alias, Lost, Fringe, and maybe Felicity, and forget he had stuff like What About Brian or Six Degrees that flopped.

Hey, Six Degrees was an excellent show. It’s one of the few shows that I continued to watch even after it got canceled, due to foreign airings.

I tried watching the Running Wilde 1st ep. TRIED. Turned it off after about 10 minutes. This show is gone as soon as FOX figures out what 30 min show/rerun it can replace it with.

I have to admit I watch _RW_, but only because I had some of the most memorable sexual congress in my life with a woman who was a dead ringer for Keri Russell (before I knew who KR was), so I very happily revisit my own pornographic memory lane though the show (though even that wouldn’t be a good enough reason for me to sit through _Felicity_).

I didn’t find out who produced it until after I cancelled the recording - and I think after my post. I don’t think that would have made a difference though.

You know, I really liked Alias. I remember thinking at the time that it was also far fetched, but it was still a good show. I’m not sure how I could have liked Alias but dislike this show when the amount of disbelief which must be suspended isn’t appreciably different. I’m fairly certain I haven’t matured much in the past 5 or 6 years. Maybe I should give it another go. I’ll have to think about that.

That the show makes use of such a tired pun on “wild” just irks me. Kind of a pet peeve, I guess.

_Running Wilde_ should have been called _Good for Nothing_, a phrase that was used a couple of times in the pilot. I might enjoy it more if it was mostly about the rivalry between the Will Arnett character and his neighbor with the tiny horse, but I don’t know if that could be sustained for long.

I’ve been wondering if it would come back.

Oddly, I’m enjoying the revived Hawaii Five-0, which is serious, but doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously, almost like Magnum, PI did…
Next on the chopping block, though? My guess is either Five-0 (just because I enjoy it and that seems to be the fate of new shows I enjoy), or Stuff My Dad Says.
