[It all started](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=22524) with a perfectly innocuous thread by **AuntiePam** called “Thread Killers,” posted on April 29, 2000, right after the board changed over to vBB software. I’m sorry, but **beatle** doesn’t get the glory. The thread was locked–it didn’t die by itself, which is a violation of the principles of molosting. Therefore the will of the people was subverted, and that result is hereby declared void according to public policy. Whaddaya mean you want a recount? ---

Goodness! I didn’t realize the poor thing had been _locked_! Since there was no message from a mod, I figured it had died a natural death. That is very sad. I hereby nominate **Beatle** as the _Honorary_ King of the Molosters. After all, whether by chance or design, he was the most last poster of that thread. And to **Jester** and **particlewill** : It ain’t the length of the thread, it’s the quality. Besides, it was before your time, so go away. ---

I think someone should go through all of MPSIMS and tally all the last posters from every thread. Then we could determine a true King of the Molosters. One… Two… Three… Not it. ---
