…Sir Michael Gambon, according to [reports](http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/tv_film/newsid_2619000/2619341.stm) from unconfirmed sources by E! News. He certainly lacks the star power of a Harris, O’Toole, McKellen, Nimoy, and the other names posited, but he’s said to be very talented (and 10 years ago, McKellen was relatively unknown and O’Toole/Harris were has-beens). Any thoughts? ---

**Pepper Mill** and I discssed this, and thought O’Toole would be the best choice. God knows he’s had similar roles, and he looks similar enough. I’m afraid I don’t know Gambon, so I can;t offer an opinion about him. Hey, why not McKellan? He can be Gandalf _and_ Dumbledore, and sew up the lucrative pop wizard franchise. ---
