Did you listen to the audio clip? She doesn’t quite say you have to be hit on the head with a brick to be raped. She says she doesn’t know anyone who’s been raped, but friends of friends have been raped but 2 of the 3 were in foreign countries and 3 out of 3 involved violence, “you know, being hit in the head with a brick.”

And that takes us to the other nominees I propose: The leaders of the NYPD that **did** blame the mayor for the deaths of two cops in New York just because the mayor dared to show support for the critics of the police department for the death of Eric Garner. Them and Rudy Giuliani deserve the price too for showing the worst unprofessional behavior seen in recent memory.

Sorry for making you listen again, but thanks for that.
It makes more sense now. She was expounding on the word violence. And that was in the context of the examples of rape she knew about. Those are just anecdotes. The part about the brick didn’t really make sense in the headline as it was written. It’s obvious that not all rapes require bricks, even in a metaphorical sense.

This woman reminds me of Pat Robertson, in that TPTB probably keep her on the air because no publicity is bad publicity, in their eyes.
For me, the ultimate idiotic statement from her was that Dr. Brantly, the first American sent back here with Ebola, should have been working in Hollywood, not Liberia, because there are more heathens among the studio heads. Something like that, anyway.

Yes. That isn’t the same as a claim that violence is a sine qua non of rape, much less than being hit with a brick is necessary,
It seems odd to me to complain about Coulter, a hateful woman whose stock in trade is falsely attributing quotes to her opponents, and to do so by falsely attributing quotes to her. It’s not like Coulter’s oeuvre is bereft of actual despicable claims.
