Serious question: What is the rabbinical take on using organs from people who did not keep kosher? All of those unclean molecules can’t be healthy for ones soul. ---

Can’t speak for a Conservative or Orthodox rabbi, but a Reform rabbi would probably laugh at your quetion. Just sayin’ is all. I’d also wager that Yom Kippur would absolve one of whatever ‘unclean molecules’ one had anyways. ---

Yeah, but they’re never going to listen to reason. The only thing we can objectively do is to provide counter examples and hope it gets noticed. On the other hand, it’s my experience that people who would believe such things rarely get to the level of actual effectiveness. So one can hope it’s a self-limited phenomenon. And where they CAN be effective we’re ready. We won’t get caught like the Nazi’s caught us ever again. This I swear. ---

I’m not saying that this is a BAD place for a jew to live. Far from it. But it’s a natural precaution that, when one is the ONLY jew for miles and miles and surrounded by a population who’s first question upon meeting someone new in town is ‘Which church will you be attending?’, one makes sure not to make any sudden moves. In truth, very few people have remarked on it (other than some obligitory ‘no wonder you’re so good in business’ or ‘no wonder you’re in the media’ thing) and I’m out of the closet on it here now. ---
