Some people have also recognized him from various gay dating apps, and have turned their phones in to the FBI to be examined for any potential evidence. None of this surprises me at all. ---

There are any number of tolerant forms of Islam that he could have chosen, but he finds one that lets him expiate something that he doesn’t like about himself. IIRC, a number of the 9/11 crew solidified their “cover stories” by pretending to hang out in titty bars and spending oodles of bucks. Stern duty demands such sacrifices. Seems to me, just guessing here, that ISIS is calling their own bluff. The shine has worn off. Its harder to believe God is on your side when you are losing. Haven’t they been threatening to unleash their secret army all along? So, now they play their hole card, and therefore are forced to claim any nutbar mucker is a _jihadist_ soldier, even if they found out his name the same day we did. ---
