Hi, I’m **Tripler**. I was once a child star on a major television sitcom. Now, I’m mostly well known for posting little cute sign-offs after my ‘signature’ on each post. You may have remembered me from such great endeavors as _PorkDope '02_ where I damn near burned the place down, or the attempted coup in Rhode Island back in '78. Hi. I’m **Scribble**. Unless you read my threads about going to Brazil, going to Ecuador, or my brief and disastrous period of dating this one guy who asked me for coffee, you probably have no idea who I am. I’ve met a couple of Dopers. I had dinner with **Edward the Head** once, a couple of years ago. He struck me as a nice guy–and he had a motorcycle, to boot! More recently, I had a little correspondence with **Iris** , his fiancee, who has been to Ecuador and who has very graciously given me some really useful advice. I’ve also exchanged a few e-mails with **Shirley Ujest**. I got a tip from **Enginerd** on finding recordings of spoken Quichua. **lno** –how ya been, man? Long time, no e-mail. For a while, **MaxTheVool** and I were dating. **OhFace** –how are your classes this term? Still taking biology credits? ---

I’m Cemetery Savior. I don’t think I’ve met any Dopers, but you’d think it would be easy, living near the Great Cecil and all… I’ve been lurking for about 3-4 years (pretty near the beginning of the board), and reading Cecil’s column for about 10 or so (in the Reader). I’m usually in the Pit (since it makes good reading), where I’ll add comments that have little sting, and very little real ire. ---

I am a Doper who happens not to have a cool or witty bone in his body, although I try to make up for it by being helpful, earnest, and sincere. At parties I am usually lurking in the background until someone needs a pen, a knife, directions, map or compass, or first aid, unless I’m questionning someone who said or does something I find interesting. In movies, I would be the trusty sidekick / straight man to the glamorous or funny hero. Despite this, I was amazed at how at home I felt at the only Dopefest I ever attended. Maybe it’s because everyone was so interesting. I try to post when I think I can help, or contribute a bit of knowlege on a topic I know a little about, but don’t do a lot of “social / small-talk” posting, eventhough I enjoy reading it. (_probably due to above-said lack of wit / clever banter_) I am married to **Serious Lark** , my rock and partner in crime (she’s got the brains, I supply the brawn) and proud Papa of trusquirt, our soon-to-be-three son. I addition to the famous dopers above, I have always enjoyed reading posts by **featherlou** , **IrishGirl** (_who put me onto a lovely melody to play on my recorder_), **Airman Doors** , **Ivy Lass** , (_who thanked me for one of my very first posts suggesting a cookbook, and made me feel appreciated_), **Loach** , \*\*kytheria \*\*, (_who gave me a virtual smooch once_) **Polycarp** , and many others whom I can 't recall right now. There are many smart, funny, knowledgeable, and even wise people here. It is often humbling.
