I just heard this fantastic steelband for the first time Saturday night on NPR’s _Jazz Set_ over our local 24-hour jazz station, WMOT-FM.
[This link](http://www.headsup.com/albums/3086.asp) features a few short snippets in RealAudio and one extended MP3 piece, to give you a flavor of what I heard on the radio the other night.
I had heard Narell (and perhaps other artists) playing steel pan in some jazz settings and I have loved the sound. But this concert blew me away.
Have any of you had a similar experience and/or do you know of other steelband or stell pan perfomers?

I was wrong: it was Sunday night that I heard this show, but this [Jazz Set link](http://www.npr.org/programs/jazzset/#coming) describes the show on January 26. So I was hearing a replay anyway.
Maybe you heard it, too?
