It probably bears repeating that Wolf Blitzer wound up 4-grand or so in the hole at the end of _Celebrity_ Jeopardy! He probably should’ve simply dressed up like Burt Reynolds and gone for broke: “This is the sound a doggie makes.” (Chewing gum) “Yeah, who is Scooby Doo?” “That’s incorrect.” “No, that’s right. He drove around in a van and solved crimes. Had a little friend. Scrappy Doo…” ---

Quick question: does anyone know if any of the celebrities lampooned on the many SNL Celebrity Jeopardy sketches have ever been on it themselves? Or if any of the comedians/actors/musical guests that PLAYED those celebs been on? I’m still waiting for the day either Sean Connery or even just Darrell Hannah. ---

If anybody can find the episode where Eartha Kitt played, I would love to see that again. She wasn’t dumb, exactly; she was . . . I can’t think of a word. “Extraterrestrial” might work, because we could then say “Earth to Eartha, Earth to Eartha.” She was so totally out of it I think her handlers told her she was going to be on Home Shopping Network pitching a new line of blenders. ---

There is a recap of Eartha Kitt’s 1996 game [here](http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=3011). If you hover the mouse over the questions, you can see what each contestant answered. (She had a couple howlers, but so did the other contestants.) Eartha ended up with a negative $2,500, which puts her right at the Wolf Blitzer level (with point values being double what they were). For an Apollo astronaut, Buzz Aldrin didn’t come off as all that bright either. Of course, Aldrin was 66 at the time and poor Eartha was 69. I’m starting to have a hard time remembering things and I’m only in my thirties. ---
