I’m a fan of newer words like _cromulent_ and _enshittify_. Whenever possible, I like to put _whilst_ into written communications. It just sounds classier. _Putrid_ is a word that one hopes not to have to use often, but if the situation calls for it, it’s at your service. _Rancid_ also has a certain _je ne sais quoi_ to it. ---
