It’s great that you had a nice time and a close connection with another person. And I wouldn’t want to rain on that parade. But I feel obligated to point out that real people aren’t angels. They’re flawed. Don’t put people on pedestals. Accept them and respect them for what they really are. ---

We had our date on Friday, and we had a great time. Went to Olive Garden for dinner, and _Les Miserables_ was very very good. If you enjoy musicals, I highly recommend it. Saturday we went to my family’s Christmas gathering, and they welcomed her with open arms. She fit right in, and everyone had a good time. _side note: My family is so big (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) that we gather the following Saturday after Thanksgiving and Christmas without everyone having to rush around on those holidays._ On Monday, we did some mundane errands together and simply enjoyed each other company. On New Years Eve, I met her family and spent the evening with them bringing in the new year. It was a great time. Yes, the reality of it is the shine will wear off a bit, and we know that. But, as we spend more time together, it is becoming apparent to us that we may have found our soulmates, and that alone is worth yelling from the mountain tops. Thanks for sharing that with me. Again, thanks all for the good words and good advice, it is very much appreciated. It is nice to know I have found a huge group of friends on the Dope to talk to and get honest responses and advice. Life is good, thanks. 😃 ---

One day I was performing at a gig in the park. When we went on break, this man came up to me and said their band was looking for a singer. There was an instant electrical connection. He was _such_ a hottie and the guitar player in our band knew him and said he was a nice person, so I agreed to check out one of their rehearsals. That night, after it was over, he called me. We talked until nearly dawn. He told me that there was just something about me and he knew that in some kind of way I was meant to be important in his life. We will celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary in June. 🙂 ---
