I’m really tired of the whole “let’s pick a couple handfuls of tweets from functionally retarded people to prove that [Democrats/Americans/Justin Bieber fans/Tea Partiers] are really [stupid/obnoxious/hateful]” thing. OMG, 20 people didn’t know who Paul McCartney was! OMG, 20 people thought it was OK that Chris Brown beat up on Rihanna! OMG, 20 people want to beat up Scott Walker! OMG, I totally don’t give a shit what 20 random idiots said on Twitter! Twitter is the functional equivalent of a room filled with an infinite number of monkeys. Any bullshit thing that you want to find support for, you can find it there. I could probably find 20 people who legitimately want to elect their cat as the next president. Who cares? ---

I know Bricker has retracted, but it’s worth restating that the online shenanigans of a handful of poorly-educated, poorly-informed lefty anons is \*nothing \*compared to the outright bullshit pulled and/or publicly condoned by right-wing politicians.
