Thank God the President doesn’t spell his name with a ‘C’ in it, cuz a search of these boards confirming there isn’t a thread about Anheuser Busch’s new beer would’ve been close to impossible.

Talk about Johnny come lately. In my area, as I see Red Bull sales starting to drop off, A-B decides to jump on the ‘amped-up’ (read: caffeine high) bandwagon.

IMHO:
For starters, B to the E is a stupid name. I’ll concede the fact the younger demographic are big time caffeine addicts, but they don’t need the jolt as much as the 30+ crowd. Had Anheuser Busch’s ad agency went with someting like Push Me/Pull You, they might have been able to reach the age group who doesn’t usually take E on Saturday nights.

Ginseng? The couple of times I’ve tasted ginseng, the only way I could describe would be: close the worst tasting (non-human body part) I’ve ever put in my mouth.

Do we really need drunk drivers that top out their speedometers at 120mph? I could just imagine the beat down Rodney King would’ve gotten if B-to the-E came out a decade earlier.

Caffeinated beer? Isn’t caffeine a dieuretic? Can anyone really tell me with a straight face what this country needs is a beer that makes you feel like you have to pee more?
