**AnitaVacation** posted a thread a few days ago which has drifted off to page three, talking about her mom, my MIL, and her recent heart attack. **AnitaGeoMom** was released today, and is being minded at home so she doesn’t go climbing stairs and whatnot since she is so active normally. She is on the road to recovery, and we are all very pleased with this latest turn of events. ---

Many thanks to everyone who posted both here and in the [original thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=305494). I talked with Mom this morning, and she’s resting comfortably and very glad to be home. She’ll see the doctor again tomorrow, I presume to check on her progress and make a long-term recovery plan. This has been sobering for me, as my father died of heart disease. Now with this happening to Mom, it sure looks like time for me to get my ticker checked out and really start watching my diet and taking better care of myself. Yikes. ---
