I think the way she said it is important because she chose it . However little I think of Ann Coulter, she is media savvy and an able writer (syntax, not content). She understands what will trigger response. She knows what will play in the media. And this is an example of recurring strategy on her part. I think she often takes a legitimate POV, makes an offensively worded statement about it and then gets to attack liberals on the issue while, frequently, they are distracted by her water muddying. ---

This is an example of why Herman Cain was never going to be the Republican nominee, even if the sexual harassment stuff never happened. Race=baiting is far too much of the right-wing media’s playbook against Obama, and it would be negated if the Republican candidate were also black. Coulter, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, the Fox News outrage of the day - all rely very heavily on the “scary black people” talking point to give it up. Reverand Wright, ACORN, The New Black Panther Party, Al Sharpton, Jesee Jackson, Van Jones, Shirley Sherrod, etc, etc., etc. You can’t keep banging the drum yelling “Beware of the blacks!” when your own guy is one. ---

Sure you can. All you need is to excise the last remnants of decency, pretence at honesty, integrity or anything of the sort from your soul. HAHA ! Joke’s on you, half of them ditched that \*ages \*ago ! 'sides, it’s effortless, too. All you need is a disclaimer to say that “your” black guy is “one of the few good ones”. You’d be surprised how many thoroughly repugnant racist shitstains have non-white friends, or even spouses. What the human brain lacks in consistency, it more than makes up for in making shit up _post hoc_. ---
