Heh. Simulpost. Yeah, that could be, **jab1**. I just thought that maybe because her views are outlandish, silly, repugnant, and shocking, and because she’s female and attractive to some, that maybe those places that hire her are doing so not because they believe in her viewpoint or in her integrity but because they want to attract attention to themselves and perhaps gain. I’d much rather believe **that** than assume they think she’s got any real insights up there, y’know? ---

Thanks, **Kimstu**. I did kind of figure fringe lunatics would find her appealing (and not in the eye-candy sense, either); I just didn’t think there would be enough to keep her in print. Granted, she probably remained a columnist for NR because she was a little unorthodox, though I’m sure her attitude and rantings quickly wore thin with the brass (nice link from **Scylla** ). Funny thing, though. She may be OK to look at, but damned if there aren’t a plethora of blonde pundits on the tube lately. I flipped on CNN one night, and there were three “experts” - all blonde - being interviewed by Paula Zahn - way blonde herself. Good gravy! Coulter’s not even unique in being this sassy blonde, so she has to overcompensate by being as wacky as possible - appealing to the lunatics, garnering tons of publicity… and still gets work. ---

A) She is cute. B) She is intelligent. C) She is a conservative. (An outspoken and proud conservative at that) What is not to like? Since she is not some bull-dike leftist, I know she won’t be too popular with most of the folks here, but she is quite popular among conservatives. You folks just aren’t the target market. ---

The only memory I have of Ann Coulter is not a pleasant one. I was at a taping of CNN Crossfire when she was a guest. Both Carville and That Guy From The Right (the one with the bow-ties) seemed to strongly dislike her. They openly joked about her evasion of Carville’s questions during commercial break. She certainly is a loon. ---

From what I’ve heard, she’s anorexic, anti-Semitic and chain smokes. I don’t even think she’s that attractive-Ann, you’re supposed to be a right winger, pro-gun. Get some MEAT on those bones. What does she live on, iceberg lettuce? Good lord, isn’t this the woman who claimed in her book that Clinton masturbates into the sink? And people should care about this WHY??? I went to school with Anne. She was in my Creative Writing class at Cornell. She was chunky and had bad skin. I don’t agree with her politics at all, but I applaud her transformation from moose like, intellectually aggressive wallflower to rail thin, sharp tongued bitch on wheels. You go girl! Whenever she hisses, “liberals are evil,” she’s really expressing her resentment towards the cute, petite girls who wouldn’t let her in their sorrorities. Not unlike Howard Stern, she’s the outsider who’s taking revenge on all the cool kids. ---
