“Later he gets the rebound, passes it to… the man… and Boom goes the Dynamite!” Wow. I was pretty sure being literate would be a job requirement for tele-journalism. Dang, that was both the funniest, and saddest, thing I’ve seen in quite some time. I think you could have lit a fire with his ears. ---

I couldn’t even watch most of that – had to look away! Poor kid – it seems to me that, while not rocket science, that must be more difficult than it looks. I mean, I know that when I’m reading aloud and I’ve never read that item before, I’ll sound like that kid did – think a sentence is going in one direction, and it goes in another. And I’ve never read off a TelePrompTer, but I imagine it’s got to be weird – not like you can go back to the beginning of a sentence and start over. And if you’ve never been on live TV before, there’s probably more than a little stress and adreneline going on. I guess I have to feel sorry for him, and also admire him a bit for staying on camera – when you _know_ you’re screwing up royally, the “flight” instinct kicks in pretty strong. Poor kid. Especially now that it’s plastered all over the internet (tee, hee). ---

I liked it, frankly. It was a refreshing break from the typical unctuous sports announcer.
