Breaking on the news. Got a call from work, trying to account for everyone and making sure that I was at home (it is my every-other-week day off) and not lost somewhere on the Yard – they are on lockdown for another active shooter. [Here is the thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=702416) from the last shooting (when I didn’t actually work on the Navy Yard, but rather a couple of blocks away, with a lot of meetings and such at the Yard). ---

Up on CNN, cops are on the scene but nothing else being reported. Do not have access to TV at work. Glad you are OK andy, hope there is nothing to it. ---

I have not gotten the lockdown notice down here in Pax River yet. Last time this happened we went into force protection condition Charlie really quick, and it took a few hours to relax it. ---

I just got an alert on my phone from the FAA that they are in lockdown and to stay away if you’re on the way or shelter in place. [Breaking News](http://liveblogwp.wtop.com/Event/Breaking_News_31) on the lockdown. ---

I work at NMMC in Bethesda, and we get locked down every now and then. We almost never know why, and they certainly never tell us why.
