I suppose you could in theory track humanity back through the related humanoid/primate history, then through the related mammalia as a whole, then all of mammalia as a whole back to the adaption before that (I guess reptiles, more or less), and _then_ to amphibians. However, the difference between a modern frog and a mammal is so different as to make the comparison worthless. ---
