but only certain kinds of publicity. The “escort” industry’s standard disclaimers seem pretty flimsy to me, kind of like putting up a sign near your unfenced in-ground backyard swimming pool that says, “Entering this pool means that you agree not to hold the owner liable for injury or death incurred within this pool.” Not enforceable. Which means that if a site like [Rentboy.com](http://Rentboy.com) gets the wrong kind of publicity (which is _massive indiscriminate publicity_), it can become a source of law enforcement stings on the escorts advertising within. As was posted before, this kind of thing is low-priority most of the time, but every now and then police departments get serious about prostitution (whether because of a mayoral election or whatever). Escorts don’t really want to be famous in a general way
if you’re TOO recognizable (and I have a feeling if Geo keeps getting exposure, it’ll happen to him), some people (especially closeted people) won’t want to hire you. Being “famous” among the community that hires escorts is good. Being famous on the wider scale is not. ---
