We have a Weeping Angel that my husband made, and that I now can’t find a pic of. But it’s awesome. ---

Even though our topper is a star, I chose other because it’s not just any star. [This](http://www.lnt.com/photos/product/standard/6906370S17305/lighted-christmas-tree-toppers/10-lighted-nostalgic-rotating-color-changing-gold-star-christmas-tree-topper.jpg) is what we have. It’s a replica of the one my fiance had growing up in the 70’s which is good because an original was going for over $1000 and they had a tendency to cause fires. 😃 ---

Usually a teddy bear. But this year, nothing - it’s just the end of the ribbons up there. I think my teddy is a bit too heavy for my tree. ---

I just have a 2’ tree so I can’t put a regular star up there. Then I found this nice clear plastic [moravian star](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moravian_star) that my mom had bought, and I thought it was just an ornament but it turns out it has a hole in the bottom to put it on the top of a tree. So after 8 years, I finally have a star atop my tree. ---

I still have the Little Drummer Boy tree topper that graced every tree I had when I was a child, so that is on top of our tree. 🙂 ---

This year I have [a Beagle-shaped tree topper](http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa321/Misnomer921/1185117_10152039884977748_251843849_n.jpg) that I _love_ (my dog is a hound mix). I found it in a catalog last year, too late for Christmas, but I ordered it anyway and put it with all of my Christmas decorations as a surprise for this year. It worked: I forgot all about it until I put up [my decorations](http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa321/Misnomer921/994655_10152040289922748_1349418070_n.jpg) the day after Thanksgiving! Last year I don’t think I had any topper at all, but in previous years I’d used a lighted plastic star. It became too big/heavy when I switched from 6’ trees to 4’ trees. Growing up we had an angel – the same one for as long as I can remember – on top of the tree. ---

We have a parliament of owls- snowy ones. They are about 15 cm tall and covered with real feathers- and wire feet that we can bend to hold onto the branches. It is a little fun to see how the parliament will assemble upon each new christmas tree. ---
